“Uzbekiston Temir Yullari” has announced an increase in rates for services related to freight railway transportation within the country.
The state company has revised the coefficients for the tariffs on infrastructure services (public use tracks) and locomotives, as outlined in the price list 10−01. The changes will take effect on January 15, 2025.
The coefficients will be as follows:
- 0.814 — for transportation involving the “Tashguzar — Baysun — Kumkurgan” line;
- 0.921 — for transportation involving the “Angren-Pap” line;
- 0.921 (unified coefficient) — for transportation involving both sections “Tashguzar — Baysun — Kumkurgan” and “Angren — Pap”;
- 0.774 — without the involvement of the specified lines.
The coefficients were last increased in October 2023. Additionally, in November, UTY announced a 30% increase in tariffs for the provision of freight cars for domestic cargo transportation.
The law “On Railway Transport” in its new version provides for the introduction of market pricing in the field of freight transportation. It also abolishes discounts on freight transportation within Uzbekistan, although the draft law indicated the possibility of providing them through a separate Cabinet decision.
