The company Streetpark Systems has won the tender to establish a unified information system for urban parking in Tashkent, according to data from the electronic state procurement system of the Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.
The state enterprise Tashkent Invest announced the relevant tender in December 2024. The project required the creation of a software complex for managing vehicle parking spaces and automating their use, as well as organizing technical support.
According to the terms of the auction, the contract will be signed for a period of 10 years. The starting price for the bidding was set at 8.22 billion sums.
Two companies participated in the bidding – "Intermobility" and Streetpark Systems. They offered to complete the work at prices (excluding VAT) of 7.15 billion sums and 6.78 billion sums respectively.
The procurement commission at the meeting held on December 29 awarded Streetpark Systems the highest score. The total contract value, including VAT, amounted to 7.59 billion sums.
On December 17, Streetpark Systems won the repeated auction for the right to organize paid parking on the streets of the capital. The company made a successful offer of 62.93 billion sums for a 3-year lease of parking areas during the second round of the auction.
The previous auction, which took place at the end of November, was won by the joint venture Balcomuz. They offered about 120 billion sums for the lease of parking spaces; however, a contract was not signed with them.
Money for Parking
The mayor of the capital, Shavkat Umurzakov, signed a decree in October to establish paid parking lots on the streets. According to this decree, it is planned to create 13,200 paid parking spaces by the end of August 2025, and subsequently increase the number to 84,000.
The Tashkent administration expected to launch a unified automated system for paid parking by the end of 2024. Parking rates are planned to be divided into five zones: the minimum price will be 5,000 sums per hour, while the maximum will be 12,000 sums.
