The founder of Korzinka, Zafar Khashimov, has taken the helm of the Association of Retail Trade and Public Catering Enterprises. The entrepreneur announced this on his Telegram channel.

On February 7, the president held a meeting focused on the development of the service sector and plans for 2025 in this area, where Zafar Khashimov, the founder of Korzinka and chairman of the supervisory board of Anglesey Food, also participated.

“We proposed the initiative to create an Association of Entrepreneurs in the Trade and Service Sectors. During the meeting with the president, this proposal was supported. I, along with nine other founders, formed the association together,” Khashimov stated.

According to him, the association will provide assistance by serving as a center of expertise in implementing the service sector development strategy for government agencies, active entrepreneurs, and those planning to engage in entrepreneurial activities. It will also contribute to combating poverty and unemployment across all regions of the republic.

In an interview with the O’zbekiston 24 television channel, where he was introduced as the head of the Association of Retail Trade and Public Catering Enterprises, Khashimov shared that 50,000 people are employed in companies owned by the association's founders. As experts in the service sector, representatives will travel to regions and engage local entrepreneurs in the association’s activities.

The founder of Korzinka noted that members of the Association of Retail Trade and Public Catering will assist companies in the regions not only with their experience and knowledge but also with contributions to the establishment of businesses.

Additionally, Khashimov discussed the plans of the Korzinka supermarket chain to increase the number of 24-hour trading points. While only 21 supermarkets operated 24/7 last year, this number will rise to 32 in the future.

Previously, Spot reported that the Chamber of Commerce recognized Zafar Khashimov as an “entrepreneur with extensive experience.”
