Over a third of migrants in Russia are from Uzbekistan.

Uzbek nationals are leading in labor migration to Russia, reports TASS.

In total:

• 41.9% (1.45 million people) — represents the majority of citizens from Uzbekistan coming to Russia for work;
• 28.4% (986.7 thousand) — citizens of Tajikistan;
• 16.2% (562.6 thousand) — citizens of Kyrgyzstan.

According to data from 2021, the number of labor migrants from Uzbekistan in Russia was 1,036,305 (according to the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations). Thus, the number of workers from Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation increased by 40%.
