In 2023, more than $700 million (8 trillion sums) will be allocated from the State Budget to finance projects developed based on public opinion. Of this amount, approximately $350 million (4 trillion sums) will be directed towards the "Obod Kishlok" ("Flourishing Village") and "Obod Mahalla" ("Flourishing Mahalla") programs, as reported in the presidential decree.
According to data from the Dunyo News Agency, conditions improved in 1,200 mahallas and villages where around 5 million residents live due to these programs during 2018-2019.
In 2019, construction and landscaping works were carried out in 159 districts across 478 kishloks, home to more than 1.6 million people. This effort cost 4.8 trillion sums. Budget funds were also used to repair roads totaling 5,476 kilometers. Additionally, over 36,000 street lighting systems were updated, covering a total of 2,458 kilometers, along with 21 communication systems.
In 2021, construction, repair, and landscaping works were conducted in 7,794 villages and mahallas, which received an allocation of 20.8 trillion sums.
It should be noted that in Uzbekistan, there is a bot that allows users to check the implementation of these two programs.
