Some Social Sector Facilities Will Begin Heating with Coal
Ministries and agencies have been tasked with planning the transition of social sector facilities, greenhouses, and construction material factories to coal heating, as stated in the decree by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
A plan will be approved in Uzbekistan to convert the heating of 407 social sector facilities nationwide, including kindergartens, schools, and healthcare institutions, to coal fuel.
Additionally, 250 construction material production enterprises are set to switch to coal: 23 for cement production, 101 for brick manufacturing, and 126 for lime. The governmental commission on foreign trade, investments, local industry development, and technical regulation has instructed banks to:
— timely allocate loans for purchasing equipment necessary for the transition to coal;
— implement incentive measures for the export of products manufactured by enterprises that have switched to coal fuel.
Ministries and agencies have been directed to ensure the supply of imported coal for entrepreneurs.
