Uzbekistan has emerged as a key exporter of construction materials to Kazakhstan.

Over the past year, Uzbekistan has emerged as the third-largest exporter of building materials to Kazakhstan. This information is reported by Kapital.kz. 

At the beginning of the year, the share of supply volume was 8%, but by the end of the year, these figures had significantly increased to 38.6%. Russia led the exports with 57%, followed by China at 46.1%, which also raised its export turnover by 11% over the year.

According to data from the Statistics Agency under the President of Uzbekistan, from January to September 2022, Uzbekistan imported 1.7 million tons of cement worth 71.6 million US dollars.

The volume of cement imports decreased by 416.4 thousand tons compared to the same period last year.
