The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has introduced a new inflation calculator that enables users to determine changes in the purchasing power of money over various periods. By inputting an amount and selecting a time frame, one can observe how inflation has affected its value, reports Daryo.uz.
Thus, 100,000 soums in December 1999 are now equivalent to 1.2 million soums, indicating a cumulative inflation rate of 1133%. The average annual inflation rate during this period was 10.54%.
The calculator is based on data from the Statistics Agency and covers changes in the value of the soum from December 1999 to January 2025. The tool is available on the main page of the regulator's website and in the section titled “Monetary Policy”.
