The implementation of the project is expected to enhance Tashkent's appeal for business tourism. The new complex will create over 200 jobs for qualified specialists in the business aviation sector.

The construction of the "Tashkent-East" airport, based on a former military airfield, began in 2017. Initially, it was planned to primarily serve business aviation, later expanding to accommodate foreign dignitaries and official delegations.

In 2023, the construction of a 4 km long runway was completed on the complex's territory. Work is ongoing to develop the supporting infrastructure, including the apron, hangars, and runway equipment, along with terminal finishing.

In August 2024, Deputy Minister of Transport Jasurbek Choriev announced the construction of an airport in New Tashkent. Until its launch, investments in the existing airport will continue, highlighted the official.

Earlier, Spot reported that Uzbekistan and Tanzania reached an agreement to establish air communication.

Founded in 2005, Jetex operates in the field of private and business aviation. The operator services business jets at more than 50 locations worldwide, including countries in the Middle East, Asia-Pacific region, Europe, Africa, and America.
