In the Mirabad district hokimiyat, a discussion was held regarding the establishment of zones for 24/7 establishments, as reported by the press service of the Agency for Strategic Reforms.
The meeting was attended by the director of the ASR, Bakhtiyor Rahmatov. Entrepreneurs presented relevant issues and challenges related to the development of the nighttime economy in the capital, as well as proposals for their resolution.
There was a noted shortage of parking spaces and trash bins on streets operating 24/7, as well as unresolved issues with electricity supply. The lack of action in this area by management companies and homeowners' associations was cited as a reason.
According to the entrepreneurs, management companies could take on some of the responsibilities for the improvement of "round-the-clock streets" and the maintenance of their infrastructure. To ensure the safety of visitors, it is proposed to establish medical assistance points in such areas.
Another suggestion involved extending the length of 24/7 streets to at least 800 meters. This is expected to broaden the range of services offered and attract more visitors.
Issues related to the shortage of staff were also addressed. It is proposed to simplify labor legislation, introduce amendments aimed at reducing employee turnover, and lift restrictions on hiring non-residents.
Furthermore, the necessity of creating a system for professional development and motivation for employees of 24/7 establishments was emphasized. These measures are anticipated to attract qualified personnel, enhance the prestige of the industry, and improve service quality.
In December, the ASR presented a set of proposals for the development of "round-the-clock streets." The agency considers the establishment of criteria for such locations, including minimum requirements for length, population density, and operating hours, to be a priority task.
Earlier, Spot reported that restaurants, hotels, and multifunctional complexes worth $490 million are being constructed in "New Tashkent."
