The Committee for Religious Affairs has identified several more cases of organizing Umrah events with violations, according to the agency's press service.

In Kashkadarya, the company System Air Train Tour unlawfully offered citizens services for organizing pilgrimage. Specifically, the company was conducting these activities without the appropriate license.

Additionally, an individual in Namangan was organizing Umrah on behalf of Namangan Jazira Travel without the state registration of a legal entity.

As a result of the committee's decision, a fine of 200 BRV (75 million sums) was imposed on System Air Train Tour. Materials concerning Namangan Jazira Travel were forwarded to law enforcement agencies.

The Committee for Religious Affairs reiterated that businesses without a license are prohibited from providing services related to the organization and conduct of pilgrimage.

The Cabinet of Ministers approved a list of companies authorized to conduct Umrah in November 2024. This list includes 6 firms from Tashkent, 3 from Namangan, and one each from Andijan, Margilan, and Urgench.

According to the new regulations, pilgrimage organizers must contribute $1 million to the "Ziyorat" fund and provide an agreement with a partner organization in Saudi Arabia. They are responsible for providing medical assistance to pilgrims, ensuring their meals, accommodation in hotels, etc.

In December, the Competition Committee fined the tour operator Urganch Maftun Avia Travel from Khorezm. The company advertised Hajj and Umrah services without the necessary license. In January, the Committee for Religious Affairs fined the companies Zaytun Turizm and Xurmo Travel Umra 75 million sums.

Previously, Spot reported that 15 tour operators were fined for advertising Umrah without a license.
