The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan (CB RU) has published new official foreign exchange rates that will take effect on February 28.
According to the updated data, the exchange rate of the US dollar against the Uzbek som has decreased by 2.58 som, reaching 12,877.37 som.
Meanwhile, the euro has also dropped by 18.16 som, falling to 13,501.92 som.
The exchange rate of the Russian ruble has shown a decline as well, losing 2.52 som and settling at 148.17 som.
The previous adjustment recorded by the regulator indicated a decrease of 4.67 som, bringing the rate to 12,879.95 som. Since February 17, the dollar has not shown any upward trend.
In 2024, the Uzbek som has weakened against the dollar by 4.7%.
