Mirziyoyev identified the only correct path for the country's textile industry.

The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, believes that the only correct way to develop the nation's textile industry is to shift its focus to more "expensive" markets. He stated this during a meeting on measures to increase exports and investments in the textile sector.

He emphasized that if the potential of textile enterprises is not fully utilized, production and exports will not grow, and new jobs will not be created.

“For this reason, the only correct path is to create products with high added value by fully processing the available raw materials and to shift from more traditional 'cheap' markets to more 'expensive' ones,” said Mirziyoyev.

During the meeting, he noted that the potential of Uzbekistan's textile industry allows for the creation of an additional 500,000 new jobs.
