The scoring began in the 52nd minute when Yusof Iazrah sent the ball into the net of the Uzbekistan national team. Fourteen minutes later, Ismoil Kholizadeh doubled Iran's lead. In the 80th minute, Muhammadali Uriyboev reduced the deficit, but it was not enough to save the match.

At the conclusion of the group stage, the Iranian national team finished in first place in Group C, earning 6 points. Uzbekistan, with the same number of points, secured the second spot. Indonesia and Yemen, each with one point, took the third and fourth places, respectively.
