Uzbekistan has signed several agreements for the supply of food products to countries in the Middle East. This was reported by the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade.

The negotiations took place during the international exhibition Gulfood 2025, held in the UAE from February 17 to 21. The Made in Uzbekistan stand showcased fruits and dried fruits, nuts, vegetables, juices, mineral water, and other products from more than 40 companies.

During the exhibition, Uzbek representatives held meetings with over 20 distributors, retailers, and trading agents. Among them were companies such as Al Maya Group, Carrefour, Choithrams, Lulu, Americana Foods, Family Brands, Lootah Premium Foods, Safco and others.

An agreement was reached with the marketplace noon regarding the placement of Uzbek goods and the use of bonded warehouses. Plans are in place to establish exports under the platform's own brands in both B2B and B2C formats.

The delegation also announced agreements with the management of retailers Al Maya and Lulu. Both chains plan to create special shelves for products from Uzbekistan.

The head of the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade, Inomjon Abdurakhmanov, met with representatives of the largest free economic zones in the UAE—Dubai Integrated Economic Zones, Fujairah, and KEZAD Group. The parties discussed the opening of distribution centers, processing, and the supply of Uzbek goods to countries in the Middle East and Africa.

Previously, Spot reported that the UAE plans to increase its investments in Uzbekistan to $50 billion.

The marketplace noon was launched in 2017 and holds a leading position in e-commerce in the Middle East. The platform focuses on the markets of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt, offering a wide range of products.
