The Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction has been assigned additional tasks and responsibilities.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has issued a Decree on "Additional Measures for the Implementation of a Modern Organizational System and Financial Support for Owners of Household Land and Dehkan Farms" (No. UP-22 dated February 14, 2025).
According to the Decree, the Council of Farmers, Dehkan Farms, and Owners of Household Plots in Uzbekistan has been renamed to the Council of Farmers of Uzbekistan.
The Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction has been assigned the following additional tasks and functions related to the development of dehkan farms and household plots, including:
conducting a complete inventory of land areas in household and dehkan farms, maintaining records of agricultural products grown on them, as well as creating an accurate and detailed database on the "Online mahalla" platform;
based on the potential and specialization of districts and mahallas, providing the population with high-income employment and lifting them out of poverty through the organization of high-income product production on household plots using green and innovative approaches.
A Fund for Supporting Dehkan Farms and Household Land Owners has been established under the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction and the Fund for Supporting Farmer Enterprises.
