The limited liability company OCTO and the digital technology school School 21 have signed a memorandum of cooperation, which aims to develop long-term educational programs, conduct joint events, and provide internships for students.
OCTO is a leading IT company that creates digital solutions for businesses. The company develops software, offers technological consulting, and creates fintech products, including platforms for online payments and financial management.
School 21 is a digital technology school that offers residents of Uzbekistan and neighboring countries aged 18 and older the opportunity to obtain a sought-after profession in the IT field for free. To enroll in the school, applicants must submit a request on the website, complete two online games, and successfully pass the selection "pool." During their studies, students can choose a development path: backend, frontend, mobile development, or GameDev. Alternatively, they can select one of the five new directions offered by School 21, where coding skills are not required:
- cybersecurity;
- Data Science;
- system and business analysis;
- DevOps and SRE engineering;
- software testing (QA).
“We are pleased to be part of this initiative and to provide students the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice. IT education is a crucial element of digital transformation, and we are ready to support the training of in-demand specialists,” said Vladimir Vasilyev, Technical Director of OCTO.
“Today, a successful start in IT requires not only quality knowledge but also practical experience. An essential part of the training at School 21 is a paid internship. Participants independently find their internship placements within the 'Career Track,' while the school's team assists them in preparing resumes, passing interviews, organizing meetings with employers, and offering vacancies from partner companies. We are excited to direct our participants to internships at OCTO, where they can work on real projects and adapt more quickly to market demands,” commented Zarina Lukhmanova, CEO of School 21.
The project is being implemented in accordance with the national digital development strategy and supports government programs for training IT specialists.
