According to a report from the Presidential Press Service, Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation from the People's Republic of China on April 1, led by State Council member and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong, who arrived in our country to further the agreements made during the high-level meeting in January.
During the meeting, issues regarding the further expansion of practical cooperation and the coordination of joint efforts in combating modern challenges and security threats were discussed.
The Uzbek leader expressed particular satisfaction with the current high level of Uzbek-Chinese relations, characterized by friendship and all-weather strategic partnership. The potential and opportunities for fruitful inter-agency collaboration in the law enforcement sphere were emphasized.
Key areas identified include the exchange of experiences and the organization of joint activities in major areas of public security, the implementation of modern information technologies and innovative working methods, combating cybercrime, training qualified specialists, and more.
There was also an exchange of views on regional cooperation issues.
