According to a report from the President's press service, Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Namangan region. The itinerary included familiarization with ongoing projects in various sectors of the economy and a ceremony to launch the construction of major energy facilities, as well as visits to mahallas.
Plans include determining further tasks for the socio-economic development of the region and participating in iftar.
The head of state first visited the "Gavkhar Group" enterprise in the Yangikurgan district. It is capable of industrially producing 1,200 kilograms of jewelry per year.

Modern equipment was imported from Turkey, Italy, the USA, and Germany, and the enterprise began its operations in 2022.
Today, the enterprise has mastered the production of jewelry in 10,000 varieties. In collaboration with foreign partners, they have established the production of high-quality gold watch cases. In 2023, 270 kilograms of products were produced.
Additionally, they have set up the production of custom-shaped items using 3D modeling.
The purchase of gold on the commodity exchange with deferred payment serves as an important support in ensuring sufficient working capital and continuity of production.

Another important aspect is that the enterprise has established cooperation with local jewelers. As a result, those who previously worked unofficially have come out of the "shadows," and the number of jobs has increased. The enterprise provides employment for over 100 people.
“In our country, 100 tons of gold are mined annually. The sale of gold to entrepreneurs on installment is permitted. In fact, such an opportunity does not exist in other countries. However, we only process 6 percent of the gold. Countries that do not mine gold export more jewelry than we do. We have fallen a bit behind in this area. Therefore, we are creating additional conditions for production. And this is just the beginning. We will continue to develop this sector,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The head of state also familiarized himself with the products of the limited liability company "Mehmash."
This enterprise produces 20,000 tons of screws and 18,000 tons of roll paper annually, with an export potential of 6 million dollars. It provides employment for 700 people.

Instructions were given regarding increasing the volume of production and export of fastening products used in the automotive industry, as well as expanding the number of jobs.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the youth small industrial zone "Kumtepa" in the Uychin district of the Namangan region.

In 2021, an industrial zone specializing in blacksmithing was established here, with the necessary conditions for craftsmen and artisans working from home. The three-hectare complex is equipped with all necessary infrastructure, including roads, power supply, drinking water supply, and sewage.
In the first phase, 52 projects were implemented here, creating more than 1,500 jobs. Craftsmen purchase raw materials from the "Asia Metal Profile" enterprise and the Tashkent Metallurgical Plant, manufacturing gates, doors, canopies, grilles, and other metal products.
Additionally, products worth 1.2 million dollars have been exported to neighboring countries.
Energy-saving methods are being implemented in the production process, with effective use of solar panels.
In the second phase, an additional 45 projects are planned to be implemented on an area of two hectares. As a result, another 1,330 new jobs will be created.

The President gave instructions to responsible officials on the effective use of the industrial zone's territory, encouraging youth and unemployed citizens to engage in crafts.
Tasks for reducing unemployment by working at the mahalla level were also discussed.
Using the experience of Saykhunabad, leaders and responsible employees of economic organizations have been assigned to 788 mahallas across 14 districts of the region. They, together with the mahalla "seven," studied the capabilities of 557 thousand households.
“In Saykhunabad, I said that ‘this year will be the year of revival and the uplift of our economy.’ The goal is investment in human capital, encouraging activity, and changing the worldview. Uychin is also economically challenged. It is necessary to establish a new system here, assist the unemployed in generating income from their household plots, start their own businesses, and realize their potential,” said the President.
The head of state also visited the Kumtepa mahalla center, familiarizing himself with the conditions created for the population.
