The parties noted that the meeting is being held within the framework of previously reached agreements regarding state borders among the presidents of the three republics, who have consistently emphasized their commitment to strengthening cooperation and regional integration.
The prime ministers highlighted that the countries have significant potential to enhance collaboration in key areas such as trade, logistics, water-energy resources, and cultural-humanitarian ties. They believe that the development of cross-border and interregional cooperation is a vital component of their partnership, which will serve as a catalyst for increased interaction between the nations.
Additionally, the meeting acknowledged the completion of the state border demarcation process between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan and the exchange of ratification letters for the agreement “On the Kyrgyz-Uzbek State Border.”
The agreement on the state border between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, dated December 4, 2024, emphasizes the critical importance of finalizing the description of the remaining sections of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border, with working groups required to prepare the final documents promptly.
Following the meeting, the government leaders expressed confidence that today’s session would shape the region's future for decades to come, benefiting the welfare of the peoples and countries involved. The forthcoming meeting of the heads of state will further promote the development of good-neighborly relations and multifaceted partnerships among the fraternal nations.
It is noteworthy that the meeting took place at the junction of the state borders of the three countries – in the Fergana region of Uzbekistan, the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan, and the Sughd region of Tajikistan.
