UzAuto Motors has completed a re-contracting event for Chevrolet Cobalt vehicles, as reported by the automaker's press service.

In just 4 hours and 20 minutes, 40,010 contracts for vehicle deliveries were processed. The company’s call center received and handled 850 inquiries related to car orders.

Individuals submitted 39,872 orders (99.6%) after authentication via One ID. The remaining 138 contracts were from legal entities.

The company reminded customers not to "purchase" contracts from third parties through classified ad sites and other external services. It is emphasized in the message that buyers or dealers cannot alter customer information in the contract on the UzAvtoSavdo platform.

The first order acceptance of the year took place on January 7. At that time, the automaker accepted orders for 50,000 vehicles, of which 40,762 were for the Midnight modification.

Since the end of 2022, UzAuto Motors has suspended open sales of mass segment models — Cobalt, Lacetti, Damas, and Labo. Since then, the company has repeatedly opened and closed re-contracting.

At the end of December 2023, the company halted sales of Cobalt, Damas, and Labo vehicles, contracting 171,000 cars in just three days — the entire production volume for 2024. At that time, the company also announced the creation of a database for contracts put up for resale.

On March 29, 2024, UzAuto Motors announced the re-contracting of 18,000 Labo vehicles, which were sold out in 55 minutes. In April, the company offered 24,000 Damas, with orders also coming in less than an hour, and on May 8, 4,500 Lacetti were re-contracted in just 25 minutes.

The next round of re-contracting occurred in June, where processing orders for a batch of 25,000 Cobalt took more than nine hours. On July 5, just over 14,000 sedans were re-contracted.

In November, UzAuto Motors conducted the largest re-contracting round of the past year, accepting orders for 55,494 vehicles. This was followed by two additional rounds of re-order acceptance — for 22,000 and 12,600 vehicles.

Earlier, Spot reported that more than 400,000 new cars were sold in Uzbekistan by the end of 2024.
