As previously reported by Spot, Shavkat Mirziyoyev is on an official visit to the UAE. Specifically, the president spoke at the opening of the Sustainable Development Week in Abu Dhabi.
On January 14, the head of state met with the UAE Minister of Artificial Intelligence, Omar bin Sultan Al Olama. The meeting also included the heads of companies Presight, Thomas Pramotadam, AIQ, Magzhan Kenesbay, and Khazna, Hassan Al Nakbi, as well as the president of the Muhammad bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, Eric Singh.
During the meeting, discussions focused on ways to expand strategic partnerships with Emirati companies aimed at developing advanced technologies and successfully implementing them across various sectors.
The parties agreed to enhance collaboration in the development of generative AI, including the application of large language models in the energy sector and the establishment of a major data processing center in Tashkent.
Additionally, there were discussions about intensifying exchanges with the Muhammad bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence. The president proposed launching a student training program and adopting a roadmap for preparing highly qualified personnel in the field of AI.
Plans for the joint launch of research laboratories, the creation of technological clusters, and the implementation of innovative solutions for contactless payment operations were also discussed.
Earlier, Spot reported that Uzbekistan and the UAE signed 15 new investment agreements.
