The relevant document was signed by the leaders of the two countries in April 2024 during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Tajikistan.
It was also emphasized that the signing of the historic Treaty on Allied Relations signifies a transition to a qualitatively new stage in Uzbek-Tajik relations.
At the same time, it was noted that the realization of the potential of allied relations requires an increase in the effectiveness of contacts at all levels, including parliaments, governments, foreign policy agencies, ministries, and regions.
