Starting March 3, Uzbekistan will begin accepting applications for mortgage loan subsidies.
The application period for subsidies on mortgage loans runs from March 3 to November 1, 2025.
By the decree of the President of Uzbekistan "On Additional Measures for the Further Development of the Housing and Mortgage Market" dated February 21, the main directions of the Program for Providing Housing to the Population through Mortgage Loans based on Market Principles in 2025 have been defined.
Among them are the construction of housing in regions, consisting of 135,000 apartments with a total area of 8.1 million square meters, the allocation of mortgage loans amounting to 20.9 trillion sums to provide financial resources for the housing and mortgage markets, and the allocation of 700 billion sums from the State Budget and 3 trillion sums from the own funds of commercial banks to provide working capital for construction organizations involved in the construction of multi-apartment residential buildings in the "Yangi Uzbekistan" and other areas.
Additionally, the number of subsidies to compensate part of the down payment and interest payments on mortgage loans has been increased by 1.5 times. For these purposes, 2.5 trillion sums will be allocated from the state budget. As noted by the Ministry of Economic Finance, within the framework of the program, subsidies for mortgage loans are planned to be allocated to 30,000 applicants.
The application process will begin on March 3 at 09:00. Interested individuals can submit their applications either directly at the Centers for Public Services or through the Unified Portal of Interactive State Services my.gov.uz.
It is stated that the average income of the applicant and/or their close relatives, if mentioned in the application, must be between 2.7 and 8 minimum wages (from 3,118,500 to 9,240,000 sums) for residents of Karakalpakstan and regions, and from 2.7 to 9.2 minimum wages (from 3,118,500 to 10,626,000 sums) for the city of Tashkent.
Furthermore, it is added that the applicant, including their spouse, must not own any residential property with ownership rights within the territory of the republic.
