The organization "Vatanparvar" will train drivers for freight transportation to work in Germany, as reported by the Migration Agency.
Representatives of both agencies signed a tripartite memorandum of cooperation with the German company SBH West GmbH last week. The agency noted that this is the first document of its kind between the two countries.
The memorandum provides for the training of 700 citizens of Uzbekistan in the specialties of bus and truck drivers, as well as locomotive operators. German language courses and professional retraining will be organized at "Vatanparvar."
Graduates of the courses will be directly sent to work in Germany. The proposed monthly salary will range from €2400 to €2600.
According to Peter Niemann, head of SBH West, there is currently a demand for 80,000 transport operators in Germany. Employers have noted the willingness of Uzbekistan citizens to undergo language and professional training.
At present, the first group of students has already started online German language classes. In the coming days, additional groups are expected to be formed.
Uzbekistan and Germany have agreed to expand labor migration by September 2024. It is planned to attract Uzbek auxiliary medical personnel to work in German clinics, as well as specialists for railways, subways, and bus services within the Deutsche Bahn group.
Earlier, Spot reported that Germany is inviting Uzbek students to work under the Work and Travel program.
