As reported by Spot, Shavkat Mirziyoyev is engaging in dialogue with the youth of Uzbekistan regarding the expansion of opportunities and increasing the effectiveness of work with them.
The President announced the enhancement of opportunities for young citizens in the service sector. Thus, until 2028, entrepreneurs will pay a social tax at a rate of 1% for them, provided their monthly salary is at least 3 million sums.
There was a noted need to transform the system of the "youth notebook." It has been instructed to conduct an inventory of the social support measures planned for youth and subsequently propose ways to optimize them and enhance their effectiveness.
The head of state also touched upon the development of creative sectors, noting that youth make up 98% of those employed in this area. In October of last year, a law on the development of the creative economy was adopted.
Based at the Youth Creativity Palace in Tashkent, a model "creative park" has been established. The goal is to organize similar establishments in other regions and provide them with the necessary infrastructure and resources.
Until the end of 2030, a preferential tax regime will apply to residents of creative parks. This includes a 50% reduction in personal income tax and social tax, as well as the payment of turnover tax regardless of the volume of product sales.
Business schools will operate in creative parks to teach entrepreneurship in creative industries. Youth will have the opportunity to learn about modern business practices, as well as innovative approaches to e-commerce and other services.
Mirziyoyev identified the creation of national content for the younger generation as a priority task. The importance of popularizing this content by integrating it into the curricula of schools and kindergartens was emphasized.
Previously, Spot reported that $50 million is planned to be allocated for startups in creative industries.
