Alexander Filippovich is stepping down from his position as Chairman of the Management Board of Uzum Bank. This was reported on the Unified Corporate Information Portal.
On February 6, the Supervisory Board of Uzum Bank unanimously decided to terminate the powers of the Chairman of the Management Board Filippovich Alexander Alexandrovich ahead of schedule.
It is proposed to appoint He Svetlana Zehenovna in his place, who previously headed Yangi Bank. The new candidate for the head of Uzum Bank still needs to be approved by the Central Bank.
Uzum Bank has already removed Alexander Filippovich from the list of affiliated persons and included Svetlana He as the Chairman of the Management Board.
By mutual agreement, Alexander Filippovich will continue to serve as the Chairman of Uzum Bank until the approval of He Svetlana's candidacy by the regulator and the conclusion of an employment contract with her in accordance with established procedures. Following the review of Svetlana He’s candidacy by the Central Bank, a meeting of the Supervisory Board will be held.

“Together with the Uzum Fintech team, the new Chairman of the bank's Management Board will focus on strengthening the company's long-term strategy and developing breakthrough fintech services for clients and entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan,” Uzum Bank informed Spot.
The bank's press service notes that Svetlana He has 20 years of experience in the banking sector with a focus on corporate governance, service development, and products for clients and businesses. Previously, she held the position of Chairman of the Management Board at Yangi Bank, as well as leadership roles at Octobank and "Kapitalbank".
For his part, Alexander Filippovich will transition to the role of Chief Operating Officer and will develop products and services for the unified Uzum Fintech direction. His task is to elevate the cross-functional business processes in Uzum Fintech to a qualitatively new level and to enhance collaboration with local and global partners.
Alexander Filippovich took the helm of Uzum Bank in August 2023. In this role, he succeeded Sergey Gimadiyev, who led the digital bank since 2019, when it was still a branch of "Kapitalbank".
Filippovich has worked in the banking sector for over 20 years. During this time, he has held leadership positions in major banks in Belarus, where he was responsible for business development and working with international partners.
