In 2024, Uzbekistan imported approximately 4.2 million mobile phones, as reported by the Statistics Agency.
Compared to the previous year, the volume of imports increased by about 23.5%. At the same time, their total value rose nearly 56% — reaching $374.5 million.
The main supplier remains China, which produced 3.4 million of the devices imported into Uzbekistan, marking a 9.7% increase from last year. However, China's share of total imports slightly decreased to just under 81%.
In second place is Vietnam, which more than doubled its imports to 589.4 thousand phones. Its share also saw a significant rise, reaching 14%.
Closing the top three is India with 113.6 thousand phones. The volume of imports tripled over the year, and its share increased to 2.7%. An additional 46 thousand devices were imported from Hong Kong, while other countries accounted for just over 5 thousand devices combined.
In December, around 0.4 million phones were imported from various countries. Three-quarters of the imports came from China, while another 34 thousand devices were from Vietnam. Imports from India totaled less than 3 thousand devices.
