Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree to reorganize the funding for social protection. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice's legal information channel.
Starting from April 1, types of assistance distributed through the "social notebooks" will be provided to individuals from the registry of needy families. This initiative aims to identify the necessary support for youth and women as part of the plan to lift families out of poverty.
Assistance for improving living conditions and accessing medical services will be offered to families whose monthly income is below twice the minimum consumer spending level.
The assessment (scoring) of individuals applying for social support within the framework of the "notebooks" system will be conducted automatically based on the Unified Social Protection System. Interagency data exchange will be utilized to evaluate the family's situation.
Additionally, funds will be allocated through the women's and youth "notebooks" for cultural, educational, sports, and tourism events. Up to 25% of the revenues may be directed towards these respective funds.
Grants will be allocated through the "notebooks" and the "Sakhovat va Kuman" fund for projects aimed at providing employment for at least three individuals from needy categories (women, youth, etc.). The amount will be up to 60 BRV (22.5 million sums).
Moreover, families affected by natural or man-made disasters will receive up to 150 BRV (56.25 million sums) from the "Sakhovat va Kuman" fund for the restoration and repair of housing.
In Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region, needy families will receive subsidies for digging artesian wells, installing water pumps, and filters. Up to 90% of the costs for amounts up to 30 BRV (11.25 million sums) will be covered.
Starting from May 1, medical expenses will be covered through the "notebooks" via the State Medical Insurance Fund. The payment of benefits to released prisoners will be transferred to the "Inson" social service centers.
