The MyID Palm palm print payment system has begun operation in the Tashkent metro. This was reported to Spot by the unified integrator Uzinfocom.

The technology for biometric identification of passengers uses the scanning of the vein patterns on the palm. The system was developed by local creators in partnership with the Ministry of Transport, the ATTO public transport payment service, and Octobank.

The developers promise reliable protection of user data. The technology eliminates unauthorized access and the forgery of biometric profiles, as emphasized by Uzinfocom.

The MyID Palm scanners are currently operating in test mode at 12 underground stations on the Chilanzar line — from "Olmazor" to "Buyuk Ipak Yuli." In the near future, there are plans to expand the system's coverage to all stations.

The system can be used if you have an ATTO transport card and a smartphone with the service app installed. To do this, you need to create a biometric profile and scan your palms at an info kiosk located at one of the metro stations where they are available.

Additionally, there are plans to launch the MyID Palm feature in the Octobank mobile application. Users will be able to link any bank card for fare payment.

The initial testing of the palm print payment system started at the end of November 2023. At that time, it was operational at the "Druzhba Narodov" metro station.

Previously, Spot reported that buses would be launched on the Tashkent-Chorvak route for the New Year period.
