The chairman of "Regional Electric Networks," Asrorjon Askarov, held a meeting of the electric grid complex to ensure power supply for consumers during the holidays—from December 30 to January 3, 2025.

Leaders of power supply companies reported that fire safety system checks have been conducted, emergency equipment and material reserves have been stocked, and round-the-clock duty for workers and managers has been organized across all network power supply entities of RES.

Particular attention is being given to the power supply of socially important facilities and popular recreation areas. During the New Year holidays, additional inspection control of energy facilities will be carried out, and security measures will be strengthened.

To address emergency situations across RES, a total of 1,395 emergency recovery teams have been formed, comprising 6,466 personnel and 1,334 units of equipment. If necessary, over 100 portable backup power sources (diesel generators) with a total capacity of 90,000 kVA can be deployed to ensure power supply for consumers.

“From December 30 until the end of the holidays, 'Regional Electric Networks' will implement a technological silence mode at all energy facilities: scheduled maintenance work and switching will not be carried out, and network schemes will be restored to normal,” the statement said.

In case of power supply issues, RES encourages consumers to contact the short number 1154.

Earlier, Spot reported that in 2024, "Uzenergoinspektsiya" uncovered gas and electricity theft amounting to 1.4 trillion sums.
