The government of Uzbekistan has revised the fees for the entry of foreign cargo vehicles into the republic, as stated in the budget law for 2025.
Fees for the entry of trucks registered in Turkmenistan will increase. In the new year, depending on the tonnage, the fees will be:
- up to 10 tons – $130 (previously $50);
- from 10 to 20 tons – $180 (previously $100);
- over 20 tons – $250 (previously $150).
Entry fees for vehicles from Azerbaijan and EU countries will vary based on the duration of stay in Uzbekistan: $80 for entry up to 14 days, $280 for more than that period.
Fees for vehicles from other countries remain unchanged:
- for Afghanistan – $50;
- for Tajikistan – $100−200 depending on tonnage;
- for Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan – $300;
- for other jurisdictions – $400.
In October, the transportation authorities of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan agreed to collect fees for transportation services on a parity and transparent basis. It was reported that from 2025, fees for national carriers will be equal.
Additionally, there are plans to launch an electronic permit exchange system (E-Permit) between countries. Similar systems are currently in place for transportation between Uzbekistan, Turkey, and Kazakhstan.
