On January 28, the Unicorn Battle startup project competition took place in Tashkent. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Technologies.

More than 120 teams submitted applications to participate in the event. Among them, 18 projects with a minimum viable product (MVP) were given the opportunity to present their solutions to a jury of experts for evaluation of their potential for scaling.

The winner of the competition was the human resources management project Verifix. The prize places went to the teams Azma Finance and Tilmoch.

Verifix provides a solution for time tracking, workforce data collection, and accelerated hiring based on a SaaS model. The project team will represent Uzbekistan at the global stage of the Unicorn Cup competition in Silicon Valley.

The second place was taken by Azma Finance, an automated accounting platform designed for small business needs. Its functionality includes simplifying tax calculations and preparing financial reports.

Completing the top three was Tilmoch, an online translation service based on artificial intelligence, focusing on Turkic languages, launched in the summer of 2024. Spot spoke with the team founder a year earlier, in June 2023.

Previously, Spot reported on the registration for the fourth wave of the Plug and Play accelerator.
