How will Uzbekistan's social and industrial infrastructure evolve over the next two years?

The program for the development of social and production infrastructure in the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2025-2027 has been developed based on proposals from local governments, ministries, and agencies, and has been approved by local Councils of People's Deputies.

Its priority directions include:

• Allocation of 2.4 trillion sums in 2025 for environmental protection and initiatives in the "green" economy, reducing environmental impact, and effectively utilizing renewable energy sources in the design and construction of facilities;
• Allocating at least 100 billion sums annually for improving the sanitary and hygienic infrastructure of general education schools;
• Construction, reconstruction, and major repairs of 77 preschool educational institutions that require renovation and are located in remote areas, based on public opinion and the wishes of the population through the information portal "Open Budget";
• Improving the material and technical base of healthcare institutions, increasing expenditures on their equipment by 1.6 times for the early detection of diseases through screening;
• Tripling the funds allocated for providing necessary external engineering and communication networks by the state to stimulate direct investments;
• Allocating 400 billion sums for activities aimed at creating favorable conditions for local and foreign tourists, as well as enhancing internal and external tourism potential;
• Increasing by 1.7 times the funds directed towards maintaining, repairing, and restoring (concreting) irrigation networks and hydraulic structures;
• Optimizing construction works within the Program and accelerating their financing timelines.

The document confirms:

• The main parameters for the development of social and production infrastructure and target guidelines for 2025-2027;
• The main parameters of the directions funded within the framework of social and production infrastructure development in 2025;
• The target indicators for the commissioning of social and production infrastructure facilities and the creation of new capacities in 2025-2027, and more.
• Expert examination of project and estimate documentation for new facilities under the Program is not conducted in cases where the wide implementation of modern standards is not considered, including the use of energy-saving technologies and devices with renewable energy sources in the designed buildings, as well as the use of environmentally friendly and energy-efficient building materials.

By July 1, 2025, electronic catalogs of typical and reusable design documentation utilizing innovative design solutions and modern building materials will be created and placed in the National Information System "Shaffof Kurilish".
