According to the
decree from the president regarding the "Appointment of an Additional Day Off and the Transfer of a Day Off during the New Year Celebrations," in 2025, for employees on a five-day work week, the day off from January 4 (Saturday) will be moved to January 2 (Thursday).
For employees on a six-day work week, January 2 (Thursday) will be an additional day off.
Thus, for the New Year, the people of Uzbekistan will enjoy the following days off:
— December 28, Saturday — a working day for six-day week employees, day off for five-day week employees;
— December 29, Sunday — a day off for everyone;
— December 30, Monday — an additional day off for six-day week employees, transferred from the day off on December 14 (Saturday) for five-day week employees;
— December 31, Tuesday — an additional day off for everyone;
— January 1, Wednesday — New Year, a festive day off;
— January 2, Thursday — a day off for six-day week employees, transferred from the day off on January 4 (Saturday) for five-day week employees.
