Crossing the state border for individuals will be further simplified.
The Cabinet of Ministers has adopted Resolution No. 44 dated January 29, 2025, titled "On the Further Simplification of the Processes for the Movement of Individuals and the Transportation of Goods and Vehicles Across the State Border of the Republic of Uzbekistan."
The document establishes the Regulation on the Use of the "Fast-track" Service for Individuals Crossing the State Border at Border Crossing Points.
To utilize the service for bypassing queues at the State Border, a fee of 15% of the Basic Calculation Rate (BCR) must be paid for each adult. This service will be available starting May 1, 2025.
The following conveniences will be provided when using this service:
- a separate lane for passport control for individuals crossing the border by vehicle;
- a mother and child room;
- a prayer room;
- a restroom;
- a corner for purchasing food and beverages (bar);
- a "VIP" lounge (with comfortable seating, a television, and free Wi-Fi).
To use this service, registration on the Customs Committee website is required, where you must specify the location, date, approximate time of border crossing, and other information.
A Regulation on the Movement of Motor Vehicles Across the State Border Using the Automated Information System "Electronic Queue" has also been approved.
The document has been published in the National Database of Legislation and came into effect on February 3, 2025, reports "Norma".
