On December 3, an official opening ceremony for the "Human Rights House" will be held at the Information Resource Center of the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights. This new educational center was established at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
“The Human Rights House” is a specialized platform created to enhance human rights activities in our country, particularly in the field of human rights education. Among other things, a modern library of international and national human rights documents, research studies, commentaries, and analytical reports will be established here.
The opening ceremony is organized by the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights in collaboration with the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Alisher Navoi National Library of Uzbekistan. The event is held in honor of two significant dates - December 8, the day of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and December 10, International Human Rights Day.
Approximately 100 participants will attend the presentation, including representatives from international and regional organizations engaged in human rights protection and the promotion of legal norms, heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Uzbekistan, media representatives, government specialists, leading experts, scholars, and public figures.
Additionally, specialists from library-resource centers across all regions of Uzbekistan will be able to follow the opening ceremony of the "Human Rights House" online.
