Uzbekistan has developed a strategy to enhance its public procurement system.
By the decree of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan (No. 865 dated December 20, 2024), the "Strategy for Improving and Developing the State Procurement System for 2025-2027" has been approved.
According to the decree, the Strategy envisions the following:
systematic development of sustainable state procurement, including the expansion of "green" public procurement;
increased use of digital technologies in state procurement;
implementation of a comprehensive program based on digital technologies for monitoring, analysis, and control of compliance with contractual obligations of state procurement participants;
identifying risk management, conflicts of interest, and affiliations, as well as corruption and illegal situations in the field of state procurement, and taking measures to prevent them;
expanding the participation of entrepreneurs in state procurement;
improving regulatory legal documents, educational and methodological, scientific, and informational-analytical bases in the field of state procurement.
Additionally, a plan of activities for the implementation of the strategy for improving and developing the state procurement system for 2025-2027 has also been approved.
