A new era of economic partnership between Uzbekistan and the UAE will begin in the period from 2025 to 2027.

С 2025 по 2027 год начнется новая эра экономического сотрудничества между Узбекистаном и ОАЭ.

As reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, the leaders of the two countries discussed key issues regarding the further deepening of Uzbek-Emirati relations of friendship and multifaceted cooperation, including in political, trade-economic, investment, innovation, cultural-humanitarian, and other priority areas.

It was emphasized that the visit of the leader of Uzbekistan to the UAE opens a new chapter in the history of bilateral relations, elevating them to the level of strategic partnership.

It was noted with satisfaction that in recent years, the volumes of trade and investments have multiplied, as well as the number of joint ventures. The frequency of direct flights has increased, and a visa-free regime has been introduced.

During the visit, a substantial portfolio of new projects was formed with leading Emirati companies, primarily in high-tech sectors.

To further strengthen political contacts, the importance of continuing dialogue between the foreign policy agencies of both countries was emphasized.

The leaders also identified six key directions for a new model of economic cooperation in areas such as artificial intelligence, digitalization, green energy, urban development and infrastructure, tourism, and private business. An agreement was reached to establish separate working groups for each priority area of interaction.

The parties supported the proposal to declare 2025-2027 as the "New Era of Economic Partnership between Uzbekistan and the UAE." In this context, a key task was identified to take measures aimed at increasing mutual trade volumes tenfold by 2030 and boosting the investment portfolio to 50 billion dollars.

Interest was expressed in further strengthening ties between the business circles of both countries and expanding the investment activities of Emirati companies in Uzbekistan.

Particular attention was given to issues related to the expansion of cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

The head of Uzbekistan proposed to launch a joint program for training highly qualified personnel and conducting scientific research in the field of artificial intelligence in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Zayed University.

During the negotiations, preparations for upcoming high-level events were discussed, including the second summit of the "Central Asia – Gulf Cooperation Council Dialogue," which will take place this year in Samarkand.

The leaders also exchanged views on current aspects of international politics.
