January 14 is recognized in Uzbekistan as Defender of the Fatherland Day. This holiday is celebrated in the country in honor of the establishment of its own Armed Forces. According to a document published on the official website of the head of state on January 13, 49 representatives from the sector have been nominated for high awards.
In particular, military personnel and law enforcement officers are nominated for awards such as the "Mardlik" and "Dustlik" orders, as well as the "Jasorat," "Sodik xizmatlari uchun," "Soglom turmush," and "Shukhrat" medals.
Representatives from the sector are honored "for their significant contributions to strengthening the country's defense capabilities, enhancing the combat potential of the Armed Forces, forming a professional national army, ensuring state security and the inviolability of borders, exemplary activities in maintaining peace and stability in society, the tranquility of the people, protecting the rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests of citizens, as well as for courage and bravery demonstrated in fulfilling their honorable and sacred duties, and for their worthy contribution to the training of highly qualified personnel and the education of youth in the spirit of patriotism," states the decree.
