Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed condolences to Donald Trump following the tragic plane crash.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed heartfelt condolences and support to the families and loved ones of the deceased, as well as to the entire American people.

On the morning of January 30, an American Airlines flight, carrying 60 passengers and four crew members, collided with a Black Hawk military helicopter that had three crew members on board. The collision occurred while the plane was approaching Ronald Reagan Airport (Washington) for landing. The aircraft split into two parts. Debris from the passenger plane fell into the Potomac River, reports Interfax.

John Donnelly, the head of the District of Columbia Fire Department, stated that there are currently no grounds to believe that anyone survived the collision between the plane and the helicopter. Operations on the Potomac River are ongoing. Donnelly noted that this is no longer a rescue operation, but a recovery operation for the remains of the deceased.

According to foreign media reports, the passenger plane was carrying members of the U.S. junior figure skating team and their coaches.

The Pentagon has begun an investigation into the causes of the aviation disaster.
