The event was attended by the presidents of Russia, Vladimir Putin; Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko; Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev; Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov; Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon; and Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdymukhamedov.
During the meeting, the main outcomes of joint work in 2024 were summarized, and priority tasks for multilateral cooperation for the upcoming year were discussed.
The importance of developing joint measures to enhance intra-regional trade and cooperation was emphasized, primarily through the further elimination of barriers to mutual trade.
There was an exchange of views on the prospects for developing multifaceted partnerships in new areas. This includes the establishment of engineering schools, the development of internet technologies, big data industries, creative economies, green energy, and peaceful nuclear energy, along with the implementation of digital solutions.
Current issues on the regional and international agenda were also discussed, as well as the expansion of practical cooperation within the CIS to address common challenges and threats.
