Empoli and Cagliari are interested in acquiring Eldor Shomurodov in the upcoming transfer window.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Shomurodov is being considered by Empoli as a reinforcement for their attack line, given the team's struggles in scoring goals.

However, the Tuscan club is not the only one interested in his services. As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sardinian club Cagliari is also monitoring the situation surrounding the striker and is ready to make its own proposal for his transfer.

Tuttosport adds that a potential transfer could be arranged on loan with a buyout option, allowing either Empoli or Cagliari to minimize risks and evaluate Shomurodov's contribution to the team.

Previously, Shomurodov had attracted the attention of other Serie A clubs and even considered the possibility of moving to the Saudi Arabian league. However, as Sky Sport Italia reports, the player prefers to remain in Italy, where he hopes to gain more playing time and regain his form.
