Nigmatilla Yuldoshev has been elected as the chairman of the Wrestling Sports Association.

The Minister of Sports, Adham Ikramov, expressed confidence that Yuldoshev's experience in sports management will contribute to the further development of wrestling in Uzbekistan.

Salim Abduvaliev, recognized for his contributions to the development of sports, was awarded the "Dustlik" order in 2015 and honored with the title of "Honored Sports Coach" in 2021. In 2022, he became a laureate of the Ludwig Nobel Prize in St. Petersburg.

However, in March 2024, Salim Abduvaliev was convicted under part 2 of Article 248 of the Criminal Code for illegal arms trafficking and was sentenced to 6 years in prison.

On January 12, 2025, it became known that he was released early due to health reasons.
