Uzbekistan introduces a "Day of Physical Culture and Sports" and is reforming its sports schools to enhance athletic development.

The resolution also provides for: the specialization of sports schools, the introduction of the position of a talent scout coach for mass sports (responsible for organizing sports events in 5 neighborhoods), and the reorganization of state specialized boarding schools into schools of sports excellence (with a limit of 150 students in grades 7-11 and the issuance of a state certificate of general secondary education upon completion).

Training in schools of excellence will be free of charge.
