In the country, a Futsal Federation has been officially established. The President of the Uzbekistan Football Association (AFC), Abdusalam Azizov, stated that experts have repeatedly raised the issue of creating a federation that will elevate the development of futsal in the country to a new level.
The chairperson of the supervisory board of BMB Holding, Bekzod Mamatkulov, has been elected as the president of the new federation, which will commence its activities next year. The vice-president of the Futsal Federation will be the chairman of SQB bank, Aziz Akbarjonov.
It is noteworthy that the Uzbekistan Futsal Association, established in 2004, was dissolved in 2017.
